In this 220-page sci-fi satire (originally published in French by Casterman), Death itself embarks on a Darth Vader-style cosmic hunt. Its mission: to eradicate the last human survivors wandering through space after having destroyed Earth.
Although published in 2019 and marked by the trauma of the 2015 Paris attacks, this dark and absurd fable carries an extraordinarily timely resonance today. As armed conflicts, geopolitical tensions, and climate disruptions escalate, Alexis Bacci’s sharp and cynical take on our species' self-destructive impulses feels remarkably relevant.
PLeaSe Comics Rights & Events is now working alongside Alexis Bacci to present Captain Death to publishers worldwide, starting at the Frankfurt Book Fair, where PLeaSe Comics will host a booth in the Comics Corner (Hall 3.1, J23, T12).
