PLeaSe Comics Rights & Events Agency is very proud to announce the signing of an exclusive international representation agreement with internationally acclaimed visual artist Sarnath Banerjee for his new graphic novel, Absolute Jafar.
A major figure in contemporary graphic literature (Corridor, The Barn Owl’s Wondrous Capers), exhibited at the most prestigious international biennales (Berlin, Kochi, São Paulo) and creator of notable public commissions such as The Gallery of Losers for the London 2012 Olympic Games, Sarnath Banerjee delivers with Absolute Jafar a bittersweet, absurd, and deeply moving autobiographical graphic novel. Born from an Indo-Pakistani love story marked by exile and borders, the story explores the quest for identity of a son raised in Berlin to the sound of his father's tales populated by jinns, sultans, and nostalgia.
Under the terms of this agreement, PLeaSe Comics Rights & Events secures exclusive representation of translation, print publishing, adaptation, and ancillary rights for Absolute Jafar worldwide (excluding English, German, and regional Indian languages).

Auteur majeur du roman graphique contemporain (Corridor, The Barn Owl’s Wondrous Capers), exposé lors des plus prestigieuses biennales internationales (Berlin, Kochi, São Paulo) et créateur de commandes publiques remarquées comme The Gallery of Losers aux Jeux Olympiques de Londres 2012, Sarnath Banerjee livre avec Absolute Jafar un roman graphique autobiographique doux-amer, absurde et profondément émouvant. Né d’une histoire d’amour indo-pakistanaise marquée par l'exil et les frontières, le récit explore la quête d’identité d’un fils élevé à Berlin au son des récits paternels peuplés de djinns, de sultans et de nostalgie.
Aux termes de cet accord, PLeaSe Comics Rights & Events assure la représentation exclusive des droits de traduction, d'édition imprimée, d'adaptation et dérivés d’Absolute Jafar pour le monde entier (hors marchés anglophone, germanophone et langues régionales indiennes).
