PLeaSe CRE at ICCHK 2025: Connecting Comics Cultures in Hong Kong

We’re excited to announce that Pierre Sery and Laurent Melikian, co-founders of PLeaSe Comics Rights & Events, will be attending the International Comic Conference (ICC) this summer, in the beautiful city of Hong Kong.

This event is a key moment for global comics professionals, bringing together artists, scholars, publishers, curators, and industry players from across Asia and the world to explore the evolving landscape of comics culture.

Dialogue Between East and West

At PLeaSe CRE, our DNA is rooted in cultural exchange. With a strong focus on international rights, co-productions, and cultural programming, we see ICCHK as a natural space for dialogue, inspiration, and connection. Both Pierre and Laurent have long-standing ties with the Hong Kong and East Asian comics scenes, and this visit marks a continuation of that commitment.

As a young and growing agency, attending ICCHK is an incredible opportunity for us to deepen our understanding of the Asian comics landscape. The conference brings together some of the most influential voices from across the region — including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Indonesia — and we’re eager to learn from their experiences, exchange ideas, and explore new forms of collaboration.
