Introducing PLeaSe CRE: A New Agency at the Crossroads of Comics, Rights, and Events

We’re thrilled to officially announce the launch of PLeaSe Comics Rights & Events — or simply, PLeaSe CRE.

Our agency is the result of a shared vision between three professionals with deep roots in the comics industry. Each of us brings a different background, a distinct area of expertise, and a common ambition: to support creators and publishers by connecting stories and talents across borders.

Three Paths, One Mission

• Sébastien Celimon brings his experience with a wide background in the comics industry to the team . With years of hands-on involvement in the world of bande dessinée and a strong understanding of the publishing ecosystem, Sébastien knows what it takes to turn creative projects into sustainable ventures. His insight into the French and international markets is a key asset for our collective vision.

• Pierre Séry has spent over a decade navigating the creative and business sides of the publishing world. As a literary rights agent and editor with a passion for international co-productions, Pierre knows how to build bridges between cultures — especially between Asia and Europe. He’s worked with publishers, authors, and artists to bring bold new projects to life.

• Laurent Melikian is a journalist, comics critic, and a long-time observer of the global comics scene. From manga, manhua, manwha, fumetti... to bande dessinée, he brings a sharp eye for trends and a true passion for creators. Laurent has collaborated with festivals, media, and institutions, and continues to champion comics as a cultural force worldwide.
  

Together, we’ve created PLeaSe CRE as an agile, international-minded agency based in France — with offices in Paris, Carpentras, and Nancy, and partners across Europe, Africa and Asia. Whether it’s rights sales, event programming, or building bridges between industries, we’re here to help creators, publishers and cultural institutions go further.
